While shoe brands are constantly releasing new colorways, a true pro model with an original design is a rare and special occasion these days. That’s why the Jenkem team flew to Los Angeles with Converse to celebrate the release of Louie Lopez’s new pro shoe.
Louie earned this recognition after a decade of impressive skateboarding, staying humble and dedicated. His reward was not only a custom-designed shoe but also a classic 1965 Thunderbird, complete with a personalized license plate.
After the initial excitement, it was time for some post-celebration unwinding. The crew hit up an iconic LA skate spot, tried their hand at axe throwing for stress relief, and finished the day with a private skate session at Louie’s personal park.

From Skateboards to Axes
The day began with skateboarding, naturally. The team visited a classic LA skate spot, capturing the essence of the city’s skate culture. After that, it was time to try something different – axe throwing. This activity, a far cry from the precision of skateboarding, offered a fun way to unwind and release some energy. While Louie’s axe throwing skills might not match his skateboarding prowess, his competitive spirit was evident, especially when he finally managed to hit the bullseye. The day concluded at Louie’s private skate park.
