This isn’t your typical skateboarding edit. Imagine a blend of Jackass’s reckless abandon, Steve-O’s daredevil stunts from Don’t Try This At Home, and the raw, unfiltered energy of The House Vid. That’s the best way to describe The BLE Video, a chaotic masterpiece sent to us by a Long Island crew known as Best Life Ever. This video is a deep dive into backwoods shenanigans, hilarious skate tricks, and a rebellious, GG Allin-inspired attitude.
The BLE Video is essentially a full-length “homie video,” a project born out of friendship and shared experiences. It had a single local premiere but was never officially released to the public, until now. We’re excited to share the final part featuring the enigmatic J2, a true original whose skateboarding defies convention. But because the entire video is packed with unbelievable moments, we’ve also included some of our favorite highlights. Prepare yourself. This isn’t for the faint of heart. It’s the kind of material you might have stumbled across on Rotten.com or downloaded from Limewire back in the early 2000s. Expect branding (yes, with heated metal on flesh), BMX crashes, excessive drinking, and the kind of mayhem you’d witness at an underground backyard wrestling event.

While some of the antics are undeniably shocking, it’s clear that these individuals possess a genuine love for skateboarding and a strong bond of friendship. However, we must strongly advise against attempting any of these dangerous, bootleg stunts at home.
The Genesis of “Best Life Ever”
Jerry, the filmer and editor behind The BLE Video, explains that the “Best Life Ever” concept emerged organically. It started as an inside joke, a phrase his friend group would repeat constantly in random and inappropriate situations. This was also when Jerry became friends with Antonio Durao, who was a young skateboarder who contributed a lot of the insane stunts in the video. Jerry recalls filming Antonio at various spots, sometimes while Antonio did his homework in Jerry’s car.
As the years passed, “Best Life Ever” or “BLE” became the crew’s motto when they were up to no good. People started referring to them as “the Best Life Ever guys,” often with negative connotations, usually after witnessing their wild parties. When their daily escapades were captured on phones, J2 suggested they compile the footage into a video.

According to Jerry, The BLE Video feels more like unplanned home movies than a polished film. It’s a chaotic mix of skateboards, snowboards, rollerblades, and BMX, essentially “Rocket Power on meth,” as he puts it. The video premiered in Jerry’s backyard with a projector, then at a bar, which got wildly out of control. They showed it once more to the Fancy Lad crew during a visit to Boston. This is the first time The BLE Video is being shared publicly and they’re just getting started.

The BLE Video is a raw, unfiltered glimpse into the world of a group of friends who push boundaries and embrace chaos. It’s a reminder that skateboarding, at its core, is about creativity, friendship, and the pursuit of a good time, even if it sometimes involves a bit of mayhem.
