We’re back with another episode of Shop Talk, this time bringing you the raw opinions and insights from the local skateboarding scene at El Sereno Skate Park in Los Angeles. After our previous exploration of Huntington Beach, we decided to head to one of LA’s many iconic skateparks and get the inside scoop from the skaters who call it home.
Tired from the road and nursing some hangovers, we opted for the classic sit-down interview format, giving the local skaters a chance to share their unique views on the skateboarding world. These skaters, who endure the intense LA heat on a daily basis, offered a glimpse into how they perceive the scene, the pros they’d rather not encounter at a spot, the skaters they would hypothetically put on their dream board company, and the trends they’re tired of seeing. Turns out, the LA skate community might just be a bit more laid-back than our East Coast counterparts.
If you want us to visit your favorite skate shop or park and interview the local crew, all you have to do is get us a plane ticket and convince us it’ll be worthwhile. We’re always up for an adventure and love connecting with the global skate community.
