The Citi Bike Boyz, a group of New York City natives, are known for their outrageous stunts on the city’s iconic blue rideshare bikes. They document their escapades, providing entertaining content for viewers. These aren’t your average bike rides; they involve pushing the limits of these heavy bikes in unexpected places.
Sometimes, they’ll take these bikes to traditional skate spots, but more often, they are seen venturing to locations where the bikes clearly don’t belong. It’s always a surprise to see where they’ll end up, but one thing is guaranteed: it will be both ridiculous and entertaining.
For this particular adventure, we reached out to Jerome Peel, the head of the Citi Bike Boyz, to see if he’d be up for hitting the Roosevelt Island monument. This is the same location featured in our previous video with Julian Lewis. It’s also a place notorious for security quickly issuing tickets.
This time, our two-wheeled transport proved to be an advantage. We were able to bypass security, get the footage, and leave without being stopped. Jerome made the challenge look exceptionally easy!

The video was filmed by Ian Michna and edited by Henry Willette, with the thumbnail photo by Mac Shafer. Feel free to share it with BMX enthusiasts on Facebook or report it as trespassing on Instagram and Twitter!
The Citi Bike Boyz continue to redefine what’s possible with these city bikes, mixing athleticism and a bit of rule-bending. Their videos are a fresh take on urban exploration, showing that a simple bike ride can become an epic adventure. They are a reminder that creativity and a sense of adventure can be found anywhere, even on the streets of New York City. This trip to Roosevelt Island is just one example of their daring spirit and unconventional approach to the city.
