You may have caught a glimpse of his incredible wall ride skills, particularly his dumpster-bashing prowess featured in the Sci-Fi Fantasy video. While Akwasí has been making appearances here and there, his recent feature in ASICS’ inaugural video has propelled him into the global spotlight. His career is just beginning, and we wanted to connect with him to learn about his interests and passions outside of his skateboarding projects.

During a recent trip to New York City, we spent time with Akwasí, exploring some of the city’s unique spots that resonated with his style. We also delved into his diverse artistic endeavors. Akwasí is a multi-talented artist who creates jewelry, candles, and sculptures using various materials. Our journey through Manhattan involved skating at unconventional locations, eventually leading us to the Metropolitan Museum of Art (the Met) for inspiration from ancient artifacts.
