Happy New Year! While we’re a bit late to the party, we believe we’ve found the perfect way to kick off the year with a bang. Forget skateboards – it’s all about pogo sticking!
Now, we know what you might be thinking: pogo sticks? Corny! But trust us, this isn’t your average hopscotch-in-the-front-yard type of pogoing. This is extreme. You need to see it to believe it.
These aren’t your run-of-the-mill pogo sticks either. We’re talking about 25-foot-high, potentially tooth-knocking, hydraulic-infused (maybe – don’t quote us on that), NSFW metal contraptions. Forget gentle bouncing; these are serious pieces of equipment! Instead of hopscotch in the yard, imagine launching yourself over famous skate obstacles.
Henry Cabelus, Nico Patino, and Dalton Smith are leading the charge, gaining millions of views and working to legitimize the sport of pogoing. These athletes are pushing the boundaries of what’s possible on a pogo stick.
Pogo Pros Invade Downtown Manhattan Skate Spots
Fueled by curiosity, we linked up with these pogo professionals in Downtown Manhattan for a day of capturing the action at some of New York’s most iconic skate spots. The result? A series of rapid camera tilts, both up and down, as these daredevils defied gravity.

The energy was high, and the tricks were insane! Watching these guys launch themselves over rails and gaps usually reserved for skateboards was truly something else.
Pogo Tricks on Display
The tricks these guys are pulling off are mind-blowing. From tail whips to flips, they’re taking pogo sticking to a whole new level. It’s a unique blend of athleticism, balance, and sheer fearlessness.

It’s hard not to be impressed by their skills, even if you’re a die-hard skateboarder. They managed to capture the attention of onlookers. Some were confused, some were amused, and some were downright inspired.

Seeing these famous skate spots through the lens of pogo sticking offered a fresh perspective. It highlighted the versatility of these urban landscapes and the endless possibilities for creative expression.
